Rene Miville - ChairmanRene Miville is an artist who has chosen to take many stands to help improve and preserve Captiva and its beauty as it is today. A Captiva resident since 1986 and permanent resident since 1988, Rene is involved in the Captiva Erosion Prevention District and many other organizations on Captiva and in Lee County. Rene was the impetus behind the creation of the Captiva Emergency Response Plan, an award winning post-hurricane beach recovery program that allows Captiva to rebuild their beach quickly with a minimum of red tape after a catastrophic storm.
